How to see the
games ?
On the shopping
pages, you will see a red 'Categories' rounded box, on the left
hand side. Select one of the category names, to see all the games
within that category.
How
do I put stuff into my shopping basket ?
To add a game to
your basket, either select 'basket' from the main products page
or press the red 'Buy It' button on the game details page. When
you press these buttons you are not committed to buying the products,
you are merely, placing them in your basket, like you would when
you go to a conventional store.
How
do I see what's in my shopping basket ?
To view the games that you have in your shopping
basket, select 'view basket' or press the picture of the shopping
basket and you will be taken to a new page showing you what games
you currently have in your basket.
How do I buy what's in my basket
? Where's the shopping till ?
When you view the items in your basket, you have
the choice of 'Continue Shopping' or 'Purchase Now'. Pressing
'Purchase Now' takes you to the Order Summary Page, Delivery and
Details Page. Check that the order summary contains the goods
that you wish to purchase and then fill in the invoice and delivery
details (note: by default it is assumed that the goods are going
to the invoice address). Then press 'Continue'. This takes you
to the payment page, where you are asked to choose between debit
/credit card payments or cheque/postal order.
How secure is it to pay by
Debit / Credit Card online ?
If you press the 'Pay by Card' button, you will
be transferred to a secure server, managed by Protx Ltd. You will
notice that the URL starts with 'https://' and that your browser
window has a 'padlock icon' at the bottom. No one can see the
information that you type onto their secure server as it is all
encrypted.
I'm unfamiliar with paying
online and would rather not, but would be happy to pay by card
over the phone.
If you would like to pay by card, but would prefer
to give us your card number over the phone, then please phone
us on 01908-616916 and we can process it for you. Please note
that we process internet orders before telephone orders and that
your order may be delayed by a day if you pay via telephone (
unless you request Special Delivery at an average of an exta £3.50
).
If I pay by card, when does
the money leave my account ?
The money is taken from your account when the
goods have been packaged up for despatch, not when you place the
order.
When will my order get despatched
?
If all of the items in your order are in stock,
we aim to despatch your order the same day or by the next working
day at the very latest. The earlier you order in the day, the
more likely it is to be despatched the same day.
How is my order delivered ?
England, Wales and Lower Scotland - orders
are either despatched by Royal Mail 1st class or Courier.
Upper Scotland & Northern Ireland - orders are despatched
by 1st class Royal Mail or Royal Mail standard parcel service.
Channel Islands - 1st class Royal Mail or International
Parcels (which may require an additional charge order is heavy).
The Rest of the World - airmail or International Parcels.
The courier services are used when your order
is heavy. Most board games do not fit into this category, but
if you were to order a few board games, or order a war game with
hundreds of miniature figures in, then your order would go via
courier.
What are the delivery times
?
1st class Royal Mail - Most orders posted
by 1st class Royal Mail will get to their destination the day
after it has been despatched (apart from Sunday and Public Holidays).
However, Royal Mail do not guarantee this service and it may take
a few days to arrive. Please note, on rare occasions, packages
posted by 1st class Royal Mail can take 1-2 weeks to reach their
destination, so if you desperately need your order within the
next few days, we advise that you pay extra for Special Delivery.
Please allow extra time for delivery late November and throughout
December as demand on the mail and courier services are high and
deliveries may take longer than usual.
Royal Mail Special Delivery - This is
optional and can be arranged by telephoning your order through
(on average this will cost an extra £3 on top of the already
quoted delivery charge). Special Delivery items are guaranteed
to arrive the next working day (Mon-Fri), please note that you
need to request this service by noon for despatch the same day.
Courier - Most orders are delivered the
next working day (Mon-Fri), though some are delivered two working
days after despatch.
